(CNSNews.com) – A federal cap-and-trade bill is the best way to protect America’s economic interests and environmental health, according to corporate leaders and environmental activists with the U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP).

By raising the cost of carbon emissions, cap-and-trade policies would discourage the use of carbon-based energy sources in exchange for “green technologies” that will create new jobs, advocates say.

Idiots with a "green" agenda don't care about you or me and what their agenda may do to consumer prices or jobs. No, they only want to save the planet from something that doesn't hurt the planet.

If these wankers really want to save our planet, they would off themselves and quit consuming resources that we regular folks use.

Now that the Polar Bear, with their numerous and increasing population, have been put on the Endangered Species List, not because they are endangered, but because the eco-nazis want to stop any development of the ANWR oil field. Thank You eco-nazis for the high price of gas!!

The "cost of energy" has now become a real big issue with the American public. And we can see why, with the price of gas at close to $4/gal and some saying it may rise to $10.

(CNSNews.com) - Iraq still tops the list, but energy and economics are fast coming center stage when it comes to American concerns about foreign policy.

More than 70 percent of Americans now worry "a lot" about the rise in cost of gas and fuel, according to the latest Confidence in Foreign Policy Index (COFI), released Tuesday by Public Agenda, a nonpartisan think tank, and Foreign Affairs magazine.

The poll found that six out of 10 Americans (60 percent) say reducing energy dependence would strengthen our nation's security "a great deal" -- a jump of 16 percentage points over the past six months.

And where does the problem lie?

I'll give you two guesses, and the answer is not the Republicans and President Bush.

That's right! It is the Donks and enviro-nazis!

If we had been allowed to drill in the ANWR, like those smart people have been trying to push through Congress for the last 10 years, we would already be pumping non-foreign oil into our infrastructure. And if the enviro-nazis and Donks hadn't been so obtuse about the "environment", we would have had new refineries built already and able to refine that new non-foreign oil into fuel.

The problem lays at the feet of the Donks and enviro-weenies for their obstructive and selfish agenda of not allowing the US to produce domestic oil, and continue relying on foreign oil.

So come November, remember, the Donks are the cause of the high price of gas and the suffering we are experiencing.

If there is one thing the Leftards love more than the palewhinians, it's "endangered" species. So what are the Leftards going to do when a palewhinian kills an endangered species?

Apr. 4 - Palestinian fishermen catch and kill a giant sea turtle, thought to be a Leatherback, an endangered species.

The rare giant sea turtle caught on a beach near Gaza City was slaughtered and eaten by Palestinian fishermen who said its blood was an aphrodisiac, among other therapeutic qualities. A Reuters cameraman said the fishermen collected the giant turtle's blood and gave it to children suffering from trauma and adults with back problems.

I see much angst and peeing in underroos, as the Leftards try to figure out who to support in this circumstance. And maybe several visits to the shrink to help them sort it out.

Personally, I support the turtles, at least they don't kill innocent women and children by blowing themselves up.

Energy Crisis, Who's to Blame?

The cost of fuel is going up, the cost of food is going up, the availability of corn is shrinking, and who is to blame? Don't blame Big Oil, you can blame Al Gore and the Enviro-weenies, that's who!!

The drive from Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia isn't long, but it's certainly becoming expensive. On a recent weekend it cost me $65 to fill up the tank on Interstate 95. If gas continues its march toward $4 per gallon, there's no telling how much the trip could cost.

It was a worthwhile investment, though. My granddaughters were thrilled to visit the zoo, where they spent time studying polar bears.

The bears are thriving. They can live for 40 years in the zoo. Wild polar bears, meanwhile, live around 30 years, and are also doing well. There are an estimated 20,000-25,000 wild polar bears today, up from an estimated 8,000-10,000 in the late 1960s.

Yet many environmentalists are pressuring the Department of the Interior to list the bear as an endangered species. As the price of gas shows us, though, the real endangered species these days is the American motorist. And, if environmentalists succeed, that problem will only worsen.

The high costs wew are experiencing have nothing to do with Global Warming and saving non endangered species and has everything to do with the Luddites, Chicken Littles, Enviro-wankers and the socialist control freaks that want the public under their power.

I am tired of paying high prices because some HollyWeird liberal has a hard-on for polar bears. I am tired of paying high prices because some junk scientists thinks we should use ethanol which is causing the price of foods to sky rocket. And I am tired of paying high prices because some Commie wants to control our economy with their Marxist lunacy!

The Revelation Came Sooner Than I Thought

Unfortunately I don;t mean voters realize McCain is a Liberal, no, I mean the revelation of environmentalists realizing that biofuels are hurting us.

Environmental groups are backing away from federal biofuel and ethanol mandates. While renewable fuel sources may reduce greenhouse gas emissions they also could raise food costs and cause shortages, critics say.

"We are witnessing the beginning of one of the great tragedies of history," Lester Brown, president of the Earth Policy Institute, said in a statement. "The United States, in a misguided effort to reduce its oil insecurity by converting grain into fuel for cars, is generating global food insecurity on a scale never seen before."

"As a result, prices of food products made directly from these commodities such as bread, pasta, and tortillas, and those made indirectly, such as pork, poultry, beef, milk, and eggs, are everywhere on the rise," he added.

"In Mexico, corn meal prices are up 60 percent. In Pakistan, flour prices have doubled. China is facing rampant food price inflation, some of the worst in decades," Brown said.

And all because these same enviro-weenies convinced the liberal minded and stupid that we would burn up from Global Warming if we didn't use these resource wasting biofuels. And look what it has gotten us, higher food prices, shortages and no impact on the climate.

At least they admit their mistake and aren't continuing down the same path to starvation.

For the last decade, mental illnesses that are peculiar to the Left have abound. We have BDS & CDS (Bush and Cheney Derangement Syndrome) and PETS (Post Election Traumatic Syndrome) and now thanks to the Goracle and his eco-minions we have EA (Eco-Anxiety).

NORTH CAROLINA -- Former Vice President Al Gore isn’t the only one concerned about the environment, as more and more people are starting to become aware of global warming and experiencing ‘eco-anxiety.’

"People are afraid of the future, they're afraid of what's going to happen,” said licensed therapist Melissa Pickett, saying of one patient, "She brought up during the course of our session that she had just read an article about the polar bears and the loss of habitat and she started crying … she said 'I just don't understand this.'"

Pickett said fears about the environment are sending some people into a panic. The mental health disorder has grown enough to gain the ‘eco-anxiety’ name.

Those Squiggly Florescent Bulbs That Al Gore and Congress Forced Down Our Throats - They Are Going to Kill Us!

Incandescent bulbs may use more energy, but at least they won't poison us with toxic mercury!

Less than a month after the U.S. Congress passed an energy bill banning the incandescent light bulb by 2014, the UK Environment Agency issued guidelines calling for evacuation of any room where an energy-saving compact fluorescent light bulb is broken, releasing toxic mercury.

The warning comes a month before the British government begins its phase-out of tungsten bulbs, scheduled to be completed in 2011. The switchover to CFL bulbs will save at least five million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year, the government said.

Health experts warned this week that people with certain skin ailments will suffer from the new eco-friendly bulbs which cause conditions such as eczema to flare up. Additionally, the bulbs have been linked to migraine headaches in some people.

The Environment Agency's latest advice focuses on the 6 to 8 milligrams of toxic mercury in each bulb.

Users who break a bulb should vacate the room for at least 15 minutes, the new guidelines say. The debris should not be removed with a vacuum cleaner, which could put toxic dust into the air, but with rubber gloves. The broken glass and all residue is to be placed into a sealed plastic bag and taken to a local official recycling site for proper disposal.

"It is possible that the mercury could be released into the air or from land-fill when they are released into the wider environment. That is a concern, because mercury is a well-known toxic substance."

It is so nice that Congress and Al Gore are worried about the planet, but not the people that live on it. And if they were really worried about the planet, then why aren't they worried about those lamps ending up in landfills? Because liberals never really think about consequences and the future, it is always Me, Me, Me and Today, Today, Today.

Eco-Freaks Gone Wild!

The mental stability of hard core eco-freaks needs to be questioned, their insane zeal to save the environment from humanity is cultist, not rational. Don't believe me? Then check out Toni Vernelli who had herself sterilized so help "save the planet."

Had Toni Vernelli gone ahead with her pregnancy ten years ago, she would know at first hand what it is like to cradle her own baby, to have a pair of innocent eyes gazing up at her with unconditional love, to feel a little hand slipping into hers - and a voice calling her Mummy.

But the very thought makes her shudder with horror.

Because when Toni terminated her pregnancy, she did so in the firm belief she was helping to save the planet.

Incredibly, so determined was she that the terrible "mistake" of pregnancy should never happen again, that she begged the doctor who performed the abortion to sterilise her at the same time.

He refused, but Toni - who works for an environmental charity - "relentlessly hunted down a doctor who would perform the irreversible surgery.

Finally, eight years ago, Toni got her way.

At the age of 27 this young woman at the height of her reproductive years was sterilised to "protect the planet".

Incredibly, instead of mourning the loss of a family that never was, her boyfriend (now husband) presented her with a congratulations card.

Even though Toni is not balanced mentally, I have to agree with her. I don't agree with the abortion, but I do agree that people like her do need to be sterilized to save the planet....from people like her.

The eco-freaks on the West Coast are a powerful group, they got Seattle to ban Bar-B-Q grills, they are pushing to outlaw incandescent light bulbs and replace them with those toxic florescent types. Now N. Calif is banning one of the most cherished features of a home - the fireplace!

It would be illegal to use residential fireplaces on nights with poor air quality under a rule being considered by Bay Area air regulators.

Over the next three weeks, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District will hold workshops to gauge public opinion on the proposal, which would follow similar bans in Sacramento County, the San Joaquin Valley, and such Bay Area cities as Mill Valley, where people who disobey the city's wood-burning law are already subject to stiff fines.

Their reasoning behind this eco-nazi scheme:

Spurred by growing evidence that shows smoke from wood-burning is as bad or worse than smoke from cigarettes, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District is trying to reduce the amount of harmful particulate matter that people breathe. Children, the elderly and those with respiratory illnesses are particularly susceptible to smoke particles that emanate from wood-burning fireplaces.

That's right, it's for the children and old people! How could anyone be against something that protects children and old people?

Data? You want data? Well the American Lung Association says it is a good idea, and we all know we can trust them to be honest and truthful (can you say secondhand smoke BS? I knew you could)

With the energy costs in Calif being sky high, they want to ban the one thing that can cut those energy bills down. Human suffering is not their prime objective, pristine air, water and land is, humans not included.

The eco-freaks have too much power to control peoples lives, and if they get more control of what we can and cannot do, then lives will be at stake, our way of life and the choice of having children will be totally control by people that hates humanity.

Anti-Americanists - Those that say they love America, but then proceed to tear it down. Those that are Americans and never have a good word to about it at all. Those that we wish would move somewhere else, thank you very much.

HollyWeird Liberals - Give it a rest would ya? Yes, you have the right to utter inane banalities, and yes I have the right not to pay to see your crappy movies.

The ACLU - The only truth in the name of the American Civil Liberties Union, is Union. As in the Union of Soviet Socialists.

How About That! Gun Totin' Rednecks Do Serve a Purpose

The bane of the Left, guns, generally owned and used by conservatives must be outlawed in their socialist world. And with the Left's program to take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens, they have now started hurting one of their other favorite programs - eco-socialism, as Maryland is finding out.

The future of Maryland's conservation efforts may lie in the gun-toting hands of people such as Sharon Nicholson.

Nicholson, 30, spent a recent weekend learning to hunt at a two-day women's clinic sponsored by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. She emerged a member of an endangered species: licensed hunters, whose fees pay for most of the state's wildlife management and preservation funds.

The dwindling number of hunters poses serious problems for many states that rely on millions of dollars from license fees. A continued decline in the number of hunters could mean fewer efforts to protect threatened animal populations and fewer staff members to help motorists who have hit deer, natural resources officials said.

To combat the trend, Maryland officials have stepped up efforts to recruit new hunters, people such as Nicholson, who said she had wanted to hunt ever since she tasted fresh venison for the first time a few years ago.

"If we do not find a way to bring new hunters into the fold, we're facing an insurmountable crisis," said Paul Peditto, director of wildlife and heritage service for the department.

Now this is a major conundrum for the Left - to save worthless critters and open spaces, they must scale back their efforts to get rid of guns, in fact they must encourage people to by guns and kill critters. What is a Lefty to do?

They Have Gone Too Far!!

I have been ranting about the fallout of crops being grown to support the production of ethanol instead of for food for a while. And the economical affects of this Utopian program. The price of dairy products, meats and basic food staples are affected by this idiotic trend. The limited availability of corn is causing starvation in Mexico, it is hurting our economy, all because a bunch of eco-nuts thinks that it will save the environment by lessening the production of CO2. They are WRONG!

Now it has gone too far, because of the increase in growing corn for ethanol, it is going to affect the most basic food group of males - Beer!! (h/t Hot Air)

A worldwide shortage of one of the key ingredients in beer and rising prices for some others are tapping into small brewers' profits and, in some cases, could eventually lead to higher prices.

The price of hops has risen sharply in recent months, while malting companies are telling brewers to expect higher prices for malted barley in the coming year as well.

"It is absolutely amazing, the way this happened," said Dave Miller, brewmaster at Nashville's Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery on West End Avenue.

"I'm sure an economist who's studied the business could have predicted this was going to happen, but most of us aren't nearly that savvy about this stuff," he said.

Barley and wheat prices have skyrocketed as more farmers plant corn to meet increasing demand for ethanol, while others plant feed crops to replace acres lost to corn.

Some may accept the increase cost of meat, some may accept the increase cost of milk, but when you mess with the cost and availability of beer, the line has been crossed!

This story needs to be made known to the general public, because when Joe Sixpack finds out that the cost of his beer will go up because of some eco-wussie, there will be hell to paid.

And the first measure they have been successfully pushing is biofuels and ethanol in particular. Not only has the ill planned manufacturing of ethanol cause food shortages in Mexico, higher prices of meats and dairy products, uses more energy to manufacture than it saves, it nows is being reported to have a worse affect in the planet's atmosphere than gasoline.

London (CNSNews.com) - Biofuels may do more harm than good in the drive against "global warming," according to two new European studies.

Most biofuels cause more environmental damage than ordinary gasoline, according to a paper released this month by a team of scientists led by Nobel Prize winner Paul Crutzen.

However, since nitrogen is found in most crop fertilizers, the use of biofuels also produces nitrous oxide (N2O), a gas thought to be much more harmful to the atmosphere than the carbon dioxide (CO2) produced from fossil fuels.

Ethanol, as I have been saying for a long time, is not worth the energy, time or cost to use, and now we find out that it is worse than good ol' oil. Go figure!

And in their rush to "save the planet", the panacea of the eco-movement is actually exasperating the so called problem than fixing it, will they acknowledge this fact? It is to be expected that the narrow minded liberal tree-huggers whose hatred blinds them to reality, are causing more harm than good. Just look at their past causes, DDT, the banning of this harmless substance has caused malaria to again be a major disease. Their ban on cutting trees in the national forests have caused an increase in the chances that our forests will succumb to major and devastating fires.

I am out here in the San Fransisco area for business and last night I was watching the local news, you know what the big story was? A federal judge threw out a lawsuit by the State of Kalifornia against auto makers for help creating Global Warming!

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. federal judge tossed out a lawsuit by California's attorney general on Monday seeking hundreds of millions of dollars from six automakers for damaging the state with climate-changing greenhouse gases.

Martin Jenkins, a federal judge in the Northern District of California, said the issue of global warming should be decided in the political rather than legal arena.

There was much gnashing of teeth and crocodile tears being shed by the Bay Area tree huggers. The news showed them in their ponytailed glory.

To sue a corporation for harm done that hasn't even been proven is ludicrous and typical of this state.

I grew up here in CA back in the 60s and early 70s, and it wasn't flaky, in fact it was a good place to live. But much insanity has invaded the state since then, and it has gone down the crapper, digging its way to the lowest levels.

I pity the sane people that have to live here and but I despise the weirdos and wackos that thrive on the insanity.

When Animal Activists Attack

Bunny Lovers are a different breed of animal, their love of animals above humanity is just a little strange, weird and very creepy. But when Bunny Lovers get violent, they are worse than the animals they love.

THE HOME OF DR. ARTHUR ROSENBAUM isn’t hard to find. He lives a few blocks south of Sunset Boulevard, near the UCLA campus, in a white two-story house with a front yard jammed with aspen trees. There is a short driveway on the side of the home, and during the evening, a bright, white light illuminates the carport. If someone wants to sabotage the doctor’s car under the cover of night, a flashlight isn’t needed.

On Sunday, June 24, just that kind of person struck. Rosenbaum, a highly regarded pediatric ophthalmologist who had been regularly harassed by animal-rights activists for his research work with cats and rhesus monkeys at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, noticed a device underneath his luxury sedan. The bomb squad was dispatched to the scene and hauled away a makeshift — but deadly — explosive. A faulty fuse was the only reason it didn’t go off.

Three days later, the so-called Animal Liberation Brigade sent a typo-riddled “communiqué” to the North American Animal Liberation Press Office in Los Angeles. It was posted on the NAALPO Web site:

“130am on the twenty forth of june: 1 gallon of fuel was placed and set a light under the right front corner of Arthur Rosenbaums large white shiney BMW.

“He and his wife ..., living at ... in la, are the target of rebellion for the vile and evil things he does to primates at UCLA. “Rosenbaum, you need to watch your back because next time you are in the operating room or walking to your office you just might be facing injections into your eyes like the primates, you sick twisted fuck.

Don't tell me that is a letter written by a sane person, because it is written by a person who has a thing for animals to where is is willing to kill a human for. This Bunny Hugger is a rapid animal and needs to be caged or killed to protect humans.

Experiments using animals is not done out of spite and just to torture them, these experiments are being performed to find cures for human diseases or cancer. But to the Bunny Lovers that is immaterial, because to them humanity is vile and the animal kingdom is to worshiped.

Not All Terrorist Wanting to Harm America are Islamic Terorrists

Last week's released NIE report didn't just warn us that al-Qaida wanted to kill us, it also warned us about America's home grown eco-terrorists.

(CNSNews.com) - The most dangerous domestic terrorists in the United States may have nothing to do with Islam or Iraq but may be little-known extremists who regard violence against animals as akin to violence against people, according to FBI officials.

This week, a declassified portion of the latest National Intelligence Estimate for the United States warned that Americans can expect attacks from these groups within the next three years.

The estimate refers to "single issue" groups that, according to law enforcement, often include radical environmentalist organizations. Among the most visible: the Animal Liberation Front and allied Earth Liberation Front, and Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC).

"When they hear 'terrorism' a lot of times people just think al-Qaeda and some of the international extremist groups that pose the real serious risks in national security, and that is not always the case when you're talking about terrorism," said FBI Spokesperson Paul Bresson.

Those that hold no value for human life, such as the Islamic Terrorists, or those that hold animal life higher than human life and are willing to hurt humans to further their cause, like the Eco Terrorists, are a blight on humanity. And like all blights or diseases they need to dealt with before they spread and infect others. Islamic Terrorists holds their perverted version of Islam to be their guide in slaughtering the innocent, and Eco Terrorists hold their belief in Gaia, Mother Earth to destroy property and harm the innocent to protect their perverted beliefs. I see no difference between the two groups, other than one is Middle Eastern and the other American/Western, but both are demented rapid dogs that must be dealt with before they harm more innocent lives.

HAVING large families should be frowned upon as an environmental misdemeanour in the same way as frequent long-haul flights, driving a big car and failing to reuse plastic bags, says a report to be published today by a green think tank.

John Guillebaud, co-chairman of OPT and emeritus professor of family planning at University College London, said: "The effect on the planet of having one child less is an order of magnitude greater than all these other things we might do, such as switching off lights.

"The greatest thing anyone in Britain could do to help the future of the planet would be to have one less child."

Wow! That's heavy and so profound! And who would follow this kind of nonsense plan? Why, the non-minorities that's who. The Muslims won't, those from Third World Countries won't, basically those that are uneducated and poor will continue to have as many children as they can. So where does that leave the rest of the EU? Childless and over ran by those that are unable to maintain the decrepit civilization that prevails in Europastan.

One Thing Leftards Don't Understand is Economics

The Leftards are always trying to fix things and trying to "make things better". From an overall view, that's not a bad agenda, but when you dig deeper, which they never do, they are just screwing it all up and making it worse. When a Leftard pushes their agenda, they don't look at or care about, what kind of economic effect it will have on the people they are trying to help or anyone else.

Let's look at the Leftards push to be "green." "Global Warming", "Clean Air" and all these programs have been forcing car makers and consumers to use gasoline mixed with Ethanol. The main source of Ethanol right now is corn, and what impact does this "green" agenda have? Starvation for Mexicans and higher meat prices for Americans.

Mexico is in the grip of the worst tortilla crisis in its modern history. Dramatically rising international corn prices, spurred by demand for the grain-based fuel ethanol, have led to expensive tortillas.

So now the Leftards are staving Mexicans, but the air is cleaner.

The price of meat is set to rise in America as the nation’s helter-skelter dash to convert corn into road fuel begins to take its toll on the supply of food.

The US Department of Agriculture has said that meat supply will fall this year because of the high cost of feed. Output of beef, pork and chicken is expected to decline by one billion pounds as farmers react to the soaring cost of feeding their livestock.

And now America is producing less meat, leading to higher prices, which also may starve people that can't pay the price, but the air is cleaner.

There is no thought to the consequences behind their actions, and if there is a thought, then it is evil.

Let's look at another favorite goal of the Leftards: Minimum Wage.

Maryland just passed a law forcing employers to pay a "living wage."

(CNSNews.com) - Maryland is set to become the first state in the nation to require contractors to pay workers a "living wage." A liberal group Thursday said the law would lift thousands of families out of poverty while a business group panned the measure as "unwise."

The new legislation, which passed on the final day of the legislature's 2007 session, establishes two pay grades for workers of service contractors doing business with the state -- at least $11.30 an hour along the Baltimore-Washington corridor and $8.50 per hour in rural areas. Maryland's minimum wage was previously $6.15 an hour across the state.

And what impact can the Leftards expect? They believe that it will "lift thousands of families out of poverty". But in fact it most likely will raise the price of new construction, cost of services, decrease employment and place more people in poverty as jobs are eliminated. The impact will not be immediate, it will take a few years, but the people of Maryland and Gov't itself will feel it none the less.

Utopia is nice to dream about, but reality does have a habit of waking you up from that dream. And that is another thing that separates Leftards from conservatives, they believe in Utopia, as where conservatives believe and are concerned with reality and the economics behind their actions.

- The way the Donks protect the criminals in their ranks (Berger, Congressmen Jefferson, Reid, Murtha...) but want to prosecute the Bush administration for non-existent crimes

- The Donks and Leftard's love of terrorists and wanting to protect them or turn them loose
