Liberty!! Part I - "These are times that try men's souls."
Thomas Paine's words are just as relevent today as they were over 200 years ago.
Frances Quarles said "Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury."
Frances is correct, because of the recent Supreme Court ruling abolishing our 5th Amendment Right to OUR property, it has caused a boiling anger within me and much reflection on the errosion of our Constitutional rights. This will be the first of many posts on Liberty!!
I will start with one of the greatest documents ever written by men, the Declaration of Independence.
I get goosebumps reading this document, because of the passion and insightfulness of the authors. Read the rest and see how they feel about a tyrannical Gov't that intruded upon their lives and stomped on their liberties. Think about the circumstances that motivated them to throw off the bonds of tyranny, and compair those circumstances to our's today.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. --Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
