Poland - Not Just Another EU Toady Nation

Ever since Poland joined the EU, they have stood out as a country with morals, not just another servant bending over for the secular socialist EU Gov't.

Poland has sent troops to Iraq, they won't allow gay propaganda to be taught in their schools and now they are frustrating the EU and it's propose ban on the death penalty.
(CNSNews.com) - European governments at the U.N. General Assembly in New York this week are pushing for a worldwide moratorium on the death penalty. But European Union consensus has fractured over one member state's determination to link the issue with abortion and euthanasia.

Poland's refusal to go along with its fellow 26 E.U. member states has stymied the bloc's plans to mark an official "European day against the death penalty" next month.

Poland's deputy justice minister, Andrzej Duda, argued at a meeting of E.U. justice and interior ministers last week that the union should instead celebrate a "right to life" day, with abortion and euthanasia on the agenda, too.

Poland is not just being a good little toady nation and doing what they are told by the EU, they have their own moral culture and are willing to stand up for what they know is right.

I like this one statement by the anti-Death Penalty bleeding-hearts:
The Paris-based group Together Against the Death Penalty expressed deep disappointment over the turn of events, and said the death penalty issue could not be linked with those of abortion and euthanasia.

To these moral relativists, they is no link between them, but if you have a brain and soul, then you realize that how can you be against the Death Penalty for criminals but advocate the Death Penalty for innocent babies and seniors? And the Polish Gov't and Polish people understand this.

I personally support the Death Penalty and am against abortion on demand, and that does not make me a hypocrite. Because the difference is the taking the life of a person that knowingly committed murder versus taking the life of an innocent and unsuspecting baby.

I am proud to call Poland one of the best allies that America has in the world today, and very proud to call them our friend.

Ah, A European With a Brain

Europe has been trying its best to sink lower into the abyss, with its appeasement of Islamists, secularism and of course, the EU. But there is one man on that continent that understands the pitfalls of the EU, and he said is will be a totalitarian state.
Vladimir Bukovksy, the 63-year old former Soviet dissident, fears that the European Union is on its way to becoming another Soviet Union. In a speech he delivered in Brussels last week Mr Bukovsky called the EU a “monster” that must be destroyed, the sooner the better, before it develops into a fullfledged totalitarian state.

Smart man, he can see the future of Europe with the secular power hungry EU running it. They are already pushing some of its member countries into accepting Nanny Laws and Diversity Laws that go against that country's values and norms. Some countries are pushing hard for the EU, because they believe they can control it (can you say Fwance? I knew you could), others want the economic benefits without the restriction of the other crap that the EU parliament is throwing out there. Part of the EU concept is good and would be beneficial for all members, but the rest is just plain Gov't by the Elites.

Smart man that Bukovsky, but will he be heard?

The EU, A Queer's Best Friend

The EU, that mish-mash Nanny Gov't of Europe is taking to court one of their own members, Poland, because Poland won't indoctrinate their children in homosexuality.
STRASBOURG, April 26, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a disgraceful debate in the European Parliament (EP) yesterday, Members of the European Parliament from France, the Netherlands and Italy, among others, vilified Poland as "hateful" and "repulsive" for refusing to allow promotion of homosexuality in schools.

A vote was held today to approve an EP resolution chastising Poland for 'homophobia.' The resolution - adopted by 325 votes to 124, with 150 abstentions - calls for a fact-finding mission to be sent to Poland, for "worldwide de-criminalisation of homosexuality" and for the Commission to take Member States to court if they breach their EU obligations.

At issue was a proposed law in Poland which would forbid "homosexual propaganda" in schools. Explaining the legislation earlier this year, Roman Giertych, Poland's minister of education: "One must limit homosexual propaganda so that children won't have an improper view of family"

Beginning the debate in the EP France's MEP Rour Martine called statements in defense of the traditional family by Polish parliamentarians, "diatribes" and noted that they "must stop", adding that they were "repulsive" and "hateful". "These are not Europe's values," she proclaimed.

"These are not Europe's values", how right you are, the EU's valves are secularism, moral relativism, dhimmitude towards Radical Muslims that are trying to eradicate them, socialism, Nannyism, and Political Correctness. Yep, it appears Poland doesn't share the same valves that corrupt civilizations and turn nations into cesspools of barbarians. In fact it appears Poland is the one that have the valves because they refuse to brain-wash their children with the abnormality of homosexuality, as where the EU has corrupted ideals.

Stand your ground against the EU, Poland, and protect your children!

It Must Be the Water

Sometimes Europeans make sense, and sometimes they don't. And this one of the times they don't: They want to remove all traffic signs.
Are streets without traffic signs conceivable? Seven cities and regions in Europe are giving it a try -- with good results.

"We reject every form of legislation," the Russian aristocrat and "father of anarchism" Mikhail Bakunin once thundered. The czar banished him to Siberia. But now it seems his ideas are being rediscovered.

European traffic planners are dreaming of streets free of rules and directives. They want drivers and pedestrians to interact in a free and humane way, as brethren -- by means of friendly gestures, nods of the head and eye contact, without the harassment of prohibitions, restrictions and warning signs.

Too much organization and bureaucracy is bad, but so is anarchy.

"They want drivers and pedestrians to interact in a free and humane way, as brethren..."

That sounds a little like a tofu eating hippie moonbat reasoning out traffic laws, and expecting total cooperation between drivers. It may work in small town, but big cities, say like LA, you would have a traffic jam the size of Maryland within one hour, and fifty road rage homicides within the first ten minutes. I hate to be told what to do, just like the next guy, but I also am willing to sacrifice a little freedom for being able to safely drive the streets of my city without some fruitcake in a Volvo trying to smash my car because they feel they have the right-of-way.

Ahh, the Europeans, so much history, and so much dementia all crammed in one little continent.
