Why Texas is Better and Safer Than Some Yankee States
Don't get me wrong, I am not getting down on people living in northern states, but I am castigating their Gov'ts because of their Nanny Laws and disregard for the Constitution.
And what am I talking about? I am talking about Texas believing in the Right to Bear Arms and to use them in defense of life and property. And to illustrate my point, read this story:
I want to point out several key facts in this article:
1) An 83 year old man was not afraid to owned a shotgun, and had a legal right to own one
2) When hearing noises at his neighbor's house, he didn't ignore them, he investigated them
3) When concluding that there was a robbery in progress, he jacked up the thieves with his shotgun
4) When threatened to be ran down by a scum sucking gremlin, he used that shotgun in self defense
And the last and very deciding point to this article is: The police didn't haul him off to jail for using his shotgun to protect his neighbor's property and his own life, they went after the real criminals!
Now if this had happened in a Yankee State the article would have read a totally different story:
The man wouldn't have been able to own a shotgun! He wouldn't have thought to investigate the noises and possible burglary of his neighbor's home. And most important and the biggest difference being, the 83 year old man would have been arrested and tried for using that shotgun in self defense!!
The core value of being able to arm ourselves, given to us by the Constitution, and to be able use a weapon in defense against real criminals to protect our families and property, are what makes Texas a better and safer place to live. And Thank God I live here in Texas instead of a state that is governed by mamby-pamby bleeding-heart liberals that care more about the rights of criminals that they do about the lives of honest citizens.
Don't Mess With Texas!!!

LA VERNIA — Raymond Charles Bunte, 83, shot and killed a burglar who broke into his neighbor’s house at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 28.
He told deputies from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office that he heard a loud noise from his neighbor’s house on F.M. 1346, Sheriff Joe Tackitt Jr. said. Since he knew his neighbor was at work, Bunte drove his vehicle around his neighbor’s home.
Bunte saw a vehicle he knew shouldn’t be there and blocked it in with his own. He saw that the front door was kicked in and, with 12-gauge shotgun in hand, shouted for the burglars to come outside, Tackitt said.
One suspect ran, but the other, 23-year-old Dustin Brandon Houston, got into his vehicle and tried to run over Bunte.
Bunte fired once, hitting Houston in the head and killing him instantly, Tackitt said. Bunte’s wife flagged a passerby down on the road, who made a call to the police at 1:52 p.m.
Bexar County law-enforcement units and the Texas Rangers assisted Wilson County deputies in the search for the other suspect, identified as Steven Christopher Muniz, 24. Texas Rangers arrested Muniz at 10 p.m. at his home on the south side of San Antonio. He was arrested on outstanding San Antonio warrants for burglary of a habitation. Wilson County has yet to charge him, Tackitt said.
Houston and Muniz had told friends earlier that day they were on their way to commit burglaries in Wilson County, according to Tackitt.
