PETA, the raving loony animal rights group, gets their panties in a wad about the weirdest things, but this one seems insanely stupid even for them.
I mean what is the problem here? They didn't staple those Santa hats onto the whales' heads, so where is the outrage?
Just because, the whales may look silly with hats, and there maybe an outside possibility that the whales feel humiliated, PETA is protesting this Christmas program. But do they really know how the whales feel about the hats?

It's a scene that brings laughter and cheers from visitors to a Japanese aquarium - two white beluga whales wearing Santa hats.
But environmentalists are saddened by the sight of what they say is the final humiliation for the whale in a country that hunts them down with harpoons.
The beluga whales have been fitted out with the cute Santa hats to entertain the crowds at the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise on Yokohama Island.
