PC Diversity BS!

I go bat shit crazy when I read about schools, neighborhoods or cities banning the American Flag. Like this school in North Carolina.
SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. – On the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, students at one high school were not allowed to wear clothes with an American Flag.

Under a new school rule, students at Hobbton High School are not allowed to wear items with flags, from any country, including the United States.

The new rule stems from a controversy over students wearing shirts bearing flags of other countries.

The superintendent of schools in Sampson County calls the situation unfortunate, but says educators didn’t want to be forced to pick and choose which flags should be permissible.

This IS America! Not, Fwance, not Mexico, not Jamaica, so the American flag should damn well be permissible. And the Superintendent is a fool, there doesn't have to be any picking or choosing on which flag can be displayed, only the American Flag! If a Fwench student wants to display the Fwench flag, not a problem, let them go to Fwance and display it proudly and the same goes for the Mexican flag, it is perfectly acceptable to display the Mexican flag, in Mexico.

This country is made up of all different races and nationalities, and that is one of the reasons that America is a great nation. These people are proud of the country of their origin, but then, why are they here if they are so proud of it? Why don't they go back to their country of origin? Could it be that America has more freedoms and rights? Could it be that they can get ahead economically and socially than where they are from? If that is the case, then they should be energetically embracing Americanisms, including our flag.

If other students are uncomfortable with some students wearing the American flag, or are offended that the American flag can be worn in school and they can't wear theirs, then they can either get over it or go back to the the country they are so proud of.

I may sound harsh, but I am a proud American, and want immigrants to feel the same way about this country.
