Facts & Habits About Me
I got tagged by Geoff at Uncommon Misconceptions on a Fact & Habits meme. And being the sweet person that I am, I will go along with it, just to give you a sneak insight into me (whom I normally don't talk about).
1 - Fact: I have a patent. Although the company I was working for owns it, I co-developed it and we patented it. It has to do with a certain part of semiconductor manufacturing, and was a new optical methodology.
2 - Habit: I always put my right sock and boot on before I put on my left sock and boot. I don't know why, that is just way I have always done it.
3 - Fact: I am deathly afraid of heights. I like snakes, bugs and most critters, but I can't stand heights. I even went to a premier fire fighting school, in which I loved fighting the different types of fires, but would not climb the ladders.
4 - Habit: I for some reason like to twirl the hairs of my soul patch. I do it when I am listening to people or am thinking hard on a problem. Weird, I know.
5 - Fact: I was shocked by 25,000 volts 20 amps and lived to tell about it. I was reaching into a radio transmitter and the power supply had not drained out like it was suppose to when turned off. The voltage/current burned holes in my thumb and index fingers and threw me 6 feet into the radio room's steel bulkhead. It took me a couple of minutes to wake up and realize what had happened. I was dazed for the rest of the day.
6 - Fact: I was a 60s/70s hippie, with long hair, love beads and a flaming liberal leftard. I loved Mao, voted for George McGovern, and called cops "pigs". Then I grew up and started using my brain for something other than soaking up booze and psychedelics. I still have my authentic Mao button, it may be worth something, you never know.
7 - Fact: Have you seen the Discovery Channel show "The Deadliest Catch"? I have been up there. In fact I have had to go rescue those guys when their boats were sinking. Major pucker factor! 50 ft seas, 100 mile an hour winds, ice forming an all surfaces. Yep, been there and seen that.
8 - Habit: I stick my tongue partially out through compressed lips when I am very mad/angry and my normally half closed eyes get real wide and opened. My boys laugh about it now, but when they were kids, they knew that Dad was pissed and there would be consequences.
