Memorial Day 2006

Today is a federal holiday set aside for Americans to remember those that died in combat to protect us and our freedoms. It is a day for all Americans, but many don't or sneer at our military and those that die to protect them. Our country is divide, we on the Right, remember and honor those that sacrificed their lives for us, and those on the Left spit on them, call them baby killers, and show distain for our military's sacrifice.

So today as we picinic with our families, boat on a lake, play baseball and generally enjoy the day off, let us spend a few moments and think hard on what Memorial Day really means and why we can still enjoy our freedom and right protected by the blood of those sacrifices.
