Liberty!! Part IV - "Cast off the Bonds of Tyranny"

"Now, not tomorrow, is the time to cast off the Bonds of Tyranny that the Gov't has shackled it's people with." - Mr Minority

Yes, I created that last quote, and yes, I feel that America is being bound by unjust laws, we are seeing the erosion of our God Given Rights, being shackled with Nanny Laws and the Morality of our Nation is being flushed down the toilet of secular humanism.

So what can we do? As an individual, I can do nothing except write letters, and post my outrage on this site. Put when banded, with like thinking people, we can do more than rant as individuals, we can cause movement in the perception of those in the Gov't, that the people are truly tired of an unjust and oppressive Gov't and that reform, TRUE reform, needs to be taken.

I do not nor will not advocate violence to achieve this reform, because when violence is brought into the picture, you have morally nullified your cause. What I propose is to attacked those in power where it truly hurts them, in their pocketbooks and by taking away their power. This means boycotting lobbyist's sponsors, this mean recall campaigns, this means attacking financial backers of those who promote these kinds of Rights eroding laws. This also means exposure of those that want to retain power at the people's expense. This needs to be a national movement, with a high degree of media exposure, enough to blast through the bias of the MSM. We the people need to take back our nation, away from those that want to enslave us with Nanny Laws, laws and rulings that ignore the Constitution and blatantly trounce our Rights. This is a time for action and not complacency on part of the people, because the people right now are like the Frog (how do you cook a frog? you don't throw a frog into boiling water, because it will jump out, you place the frog in room temp water, and then slowly heat it up, until it boils, and it will not realize that it is being cooked to death) most don't realize that their rights are being taken away, and most don't realize that the Constitution doesn't not guarantee our Rights, but is suppose to limit the Gov't from restricting our Rights endowed by our Creator. We need a centralize movement, and what better place to facilitate that movement than the Blogosphere. The movement needs a powerful head spokesman, not just some crackpot with a grudge against the Gov't. And this movement needs to start now, not tomorrow, because if we wait too long, we may end up like the frog, boiled to death without ever realizing it.

I am going to end this series on Liberty, just where I started it, with the Declaration of Independence, because those words means the same today as they did over 200 years ago.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. --Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.
