Let's Talk About Red China and the Olympics

Lately there has been much to do about Red China hosting the Olympics. Assaulting Torch Bearers, pushing President Bush not to attend the Opening Ceremonies, the blatant stifling of athlete's free speech, you name it. But is all this bruhaha hurting the ChiComs?

Maybe, it is causing them to lose "face".

Will it help the human right cause?

I don't think so.

But one thing I do know, is protesting the Olympics is not right!

You can protest Red China, a Commie Dictatorship, but you shouldn't protest the Olympics. Because when you protest the Olympics, you are not protesting Red China, but the athletes that there to participate in a sporting events.

We should support the athletes, regardless of international politics, because this is about them, not the hosting ChiComs.

So protest the human rights violating Chicoms, but leave the Olympics out of the protest.
