Maybe Sheik What-his-Face doesn't remember or is just plain stupid, but America didn't seek out any enemy, the Islamic Terrorists sought us out! Even before the collapse of the Soviet Union we had the Iranian take over of our embassy, the truck bombing of our Marines in Beruit, they all happened before the collapse. Then afterwards, we had the bombing of our embassies in Africa, the bombing of the USS Cole and then the big one, the cowardly killing of 3000 innocents on 9/11. I would say the we were targeted by the Muslim extremists not the other way around.
These people will say and do anything to further their agenda of dominating the world in one big Caliphate, and blaming America for the ills of the world is easy. Rather than blame us, why don't they spend the time and energy fixing their own problems, like education, poverty, and the Gov'ts.
Go ahead and blame America, everyone else does, even the Democrats do, but that doesn't fix the problems that the Islamics are creating, and when it gets to be too much, we will be blamed for not doing enough to stop them.

(CNSNews.com) - The United States and its foreign policies have come under fire at a conference on relations between the U.S. and Islam, with figures like suicide bombing apologist Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi accusing America of responsibility for Muslims' animosity.
Qaradawi, a Qatar-based Sunni scholar regarded as the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, told the U.S.-Islamic World Forum in Doha the U.S. had created the problem by searching for "an alternative enemy" in the wake of the Soviet Union's collapse.
"The U.S. has initiated the animosity when the neoconservatives chose Islam as an alternative enemy," Gulf Times quoted him as telling the gathering...
