The Star Spangled Banner in Spanish? Un-American!

The last time I checked the Star Spangled Banner was America's national anthem, and the last time I checked English was the national language, so where in the hell do these people get off singing America's national anthem in Spanish?
Oh say can you see -- a la luz de la aurora?

The national anthem that once endured the radical transformation administered by Jimi Hendrix's fuzzed and frantic Stratocaster now faces an artistic dare at least as extreme: translation into Spanish.

The new take is scheduled to hit the airwaves today. It's called "Nuestro Himno" -- "Our Anthem" -- and it was recorded over the past week by Latin pop stars...

Can "The Star-Spangled Banner," and the republic for which it stands, survive? Outrage over what's being called "The Illegal Alien Anthem" is already building in the blogosphere and among conservative commentators.

The more Hispanics pull crap like this, the more they offend Americans and larger the backlash against them and their cause. I am sick and tired of having to "Press 1" to hear computer phone messages in English, I am sick and tired of paying for Drivers License Tests being written in Spanish, and definitely sick and tired of having to pay for ILLEGAL Alien's kids to be taught English. Many Hispanics don't care to assimilate into America's culture, not do they want to bother to learn English, they expect everything to be talored to them and their language, and so far the Liberals have accomidated them. It's time to STOP! English, is our official language, and if people want to come here for jobs and to become Americans they should be required to learn it. I have nothing against people from foreign countries coming to our great country and wanting to become Americans, many do, and many learn English on their own and try to assimilate, but the ones that expect us to tailor our culture and language to them, need to find another country to reside in. As for the Star Spangle Banner in Spanish, it's wrong, and the backlash will be large and unexpected to these unassimilators.
