New Laws Forestalls Haters

These people call themselves Christians, but in no way are they do they act like Christians. They are the psychos that attend and support Fred Phelp's Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, they same ones that HATE gays and picket military funerals. They picket the funerals because they say the Federal Gov't supports homosexuals, and the military allows gays to enlist. These HATERS have been picketing funerals all over the country, holding up signs that say "God Hates Fags" or "God Made IEDs". Now states have been passing laws to criminalize the picketing of funerals, they say that they will quit, not because what they are doing is wrong, but because they don't want to break the law.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A small Kansas church known for its anti-gay protests said Wednesday it will still picket on the day of soldiers' funerals but won't violate new state laws that limit when and where such demonstrations take place.

"We're not going to get arrested. We obey the law," said Shirley Phelps-Roper, an attorney and member of Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, a fundamentalist congregation headed by her father, the Rev. Fred Phelps.

These people disgust me with their hatred, and I am angry because they besmirch Christ's name by calling themselves Christians. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I also don't say God hates them. And to think of picketing and holding up Hating signs at a funeral of a serviceman that gave his life for our country, makes me VERY angry. If I ever met some of these morons, I would ask them to turn the other cheek as I hit them with a 2x4.
